Business supplies, delivered on your schedule.

Challenge

The main challenge was building a delivery platform for a Leicester-based business supply company that could handle both recurring subscriptions and one-off purchases in a single, seamless cart — without confusing customers or breaking WooCommerce’s subscription billing logic. The client also needed a flexible plan-builder experience where customers could pick products by category and delivery frequency, rather than just browsing a standard shop page, plus a dashboard that felt custom-built rather than generic WooCommerce.

Approach

Built on WordPress with WooCommerce and WooCommerce Subscriptions, using a custom step-by-step plan builder that lets customers navigate by category and review their selections before checkout. I developed a mixed cart system to handle subscription and one-off products together, a delivery frequency selector that routes users to the right plan page, and a real-time delivery date display on the customer dashboard. To keep checkout fast even with bulk orders, I built a dedicated PHP handler for bulk add-to-cart instead of relying on JS alone. Cash on Delivery was implemented carefully, scoped only to where it wouldn’t conflict with Stripe’s automated subscription billing.

The result is a delivery platform that feels tailored rather than templated — customers can build a supply plan that fits how their business actually orders, whether that’s a recurring subscription or a quick one-off top-up, all through a clean, guided flow.
